IELTS Coaching Classes

IELTS stands for The International English Language Testing System. The test measures the language proficiency of people who want to study or work in environments where English is used as a language of communication. It conducts an assessment of all four language skills: Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. The Speaking test takes place separately, while your reading, writing and listening skills are evaluated on the same day with no breaks in between.

The test has two modules:

    • IELTS Academic is intended for test takers who want to study at tertiary level in an English-speaking country or seek professional registration
    • IELTS General is intended for test takers who want to work, train, study at a secondary school or migrate to an English-speaking country

Depending on convenience, the IELTS test can be taken either in-person or online. The test has two modules – IELTS Academic, which is intended for test takers who want to study at tertiary level in an English-speaking country or seek professional registration; IELTS General, on the other hand, is intended for test takers who want to work, train, study at a secondary school or migrate to an English-speaking country.

    IELTS Structure

    • Listening Section: (4 sections, 40 Questions, 30 minutes + 10 minutes for transferring answers) Measures your ability to understand main ideas, specific factual information, and speaker’s attitude and opinion
    • Reading Section: (3 sections, 40 Questions, 60 minutes) Measures your ability to understand reading passages and answer a variety of question based on the content of the passages
    • Writing Section: (2 Writing tasks, 60 minutes) Measures your ability to write in an academic setting
    • Speaking Section: (3 parts, 11-14 minutes) Measures your ability to speak spontaneously and convey ideas clearly and coherently

While the Listening, Reading, and Writing sections are conducted on the same day, the Speaking Test is held up to one week before or after the written test.

    IELTS Scores

Each of the four sections on the IELTS is scored on a nine-band scale, with each band corresponding to a specified competence in English. The overall IELTS score is the average of the scores on all the four sections.
